German American Bank announces the leadership team of Chris Dew, Market President; Nicole Durbin, Retail Banking Officer; and Bill Williams, Commercial Banking and Credit Officer, to lead the financial services team serving the Shelbyville market area of Shelby, Spencer, Owen and Gallatin Counties in Kentucky. Together they will drive the delivery of German American Bank’s innovative banking, insurance and investment financial solutions with a focus on client relationships, local decision-making, and a strong commitment to community.

Chris Dew earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Murray State University in 2005 and obtained his CPA license in 2006. He joined Citizens Union Bank in 2006 where he served as Controller, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In these leadership roles, Chris developed and implemented strategic initiatives while collaborating with all functions of the bank to align customer needs with the bank’s organizational vision. As Market President with German American Bank, Chris will lead the market’s banking, insurance, and investments financial services team. Chris is active within the Shelby County community and currently serves as Treasurer for the Shelby County Parks and Recreation Foundation. He and his wife, Abby, and their two daughters, Bryleigh and Reagan, enjoy being active in the Shelby County community.
Nicole Durbin is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.S. in Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She has over 23 years of experience in the financial industry. In 2008, Nicole joined Citizens Union Bank where she held various positions, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer. Nicole will lead the retail banking team at German American Bank serving the Shelbyville Market area. Throughout her career, Nicole has served on various community boards and organizations. Nicole enjoys traveling with her husband, John, and their two children, Kennedy and Steven.
Bill Williams is a graduate of Georgetown College with a degree in Business Administration and Philosophy. He also obtained his MBA from the University of Louisville in 2010. He has over 22 years of experience in the banking industry with a concentration in commercial lending and commercial credit. He joined Citizen Union Bank in 2008 as a Commercial Credit Manager followed by a promotion to Chief Credit Officer. In his role, Bill worked closely with the bank’s lending team to deliver strong financial solutions to commercial clients in Shelby and the surrounding counties. As Commercial Banking and Chief Credit Officer at German American Bank, Bill will continue to develop commercial client relationships. He is active in various community activities, including Metro United Way. He and his two sons enjoy local sports, and Bill stays active with the USTA in Louisville.
