Brent Pfister, Commercial Lines Agent at German American Insurance, was recently awarded the Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

Brent is among 700 CSRMs, an elite group of professionals, within the country. To earn this prestigious designation, he successfully completed a rigorous insurance education program. Brent demonstrated professional competence through the successful completion of the five courses and passed five comprehensive examinations. Additionally, the National Alliance requires annual attendance in the program to maintain the designation.

The CSRM designation is the nation’s only comprehensive risk management educational program for risk management specialists working with schools, colleges, and universities. School districts, school employees, students, and parents deserve the highest quality service from a qualified risk manager and one who has practiced understanding about today’s institutional risks and exposures.

“Brent’s experience and desire for continuous education is a testament of his commitment to providing quality insurance services backed by customer service excellence,” states Mark Schroeder, Chairman and CEO of German American. “Our insurance clients will benefit greatly from the additional knowledge and expertise Brent gains as a CSRM. It’s yet another step in our company’s commitment to enable our customers to make sound financial decisions based on the expertise of our financial professionals.”

Brent has worked in the insurance business for 16 years and has been with German American Insurance since 2014. He resides in Jasper with his wife, Heather, and their two children, Calvin and Colleen.
